Description
About Mysha
Mysha is a premium, referral-based membership community for modern mothers, 800+ members across NYC, NJ, CT, LA, Miami, and Austin. Our members are C-suite executives, founders, and the women who shape culture and purchasing decisions in their industries. They're ambitious, cosmopolitan, and deeply connected, women who have built full lives and identities outside of their children, and who expect the communities they join to reflect that.
Founded by Marika Frumes, a community builder and entrepreneur, Mysha has grown primarily by word of mouth and now has members across the country, with strong regional hubs in NYC, LA, Miami, and Austin.
At Mysha, we believe that motherhood is an expansion and a life upgrade. We provide a curated space for ambitious, like-valued women to find connection, save time with vetted resources, and experience the meaning of genuine community. Our mission is to soften the transition to motherhood by fostering meaningful connections and authentic friendships.
Mysha has grown almost entirely by word of mouth. That's not an accident.
What Is a Birth Pod?
Birth pods are where Mysha's community is built. Each pod brings together a small group of women due around the same time- nationally, virtually, and moves them through pregnancy, delivery, and early postpartum side by side. The bonds that form in these pods are the reason members stay, refer, and talk about Mysha for years.
This role exists to make that happen
This Role Is for You If You Already Do This in Your Sleep
You're the person who keeps the group chat alive without making it about you. You notice when someone's gone quiet and check in. You make the introduction two people didn't know they needed, draw out the quieter member without making it awkward, and create a space where accomplished, busy women feel safe being vulnerable, all from behind a screen.
The women in these pods are used to high-quality experiences. They'll notice immediately if facilitation feels performative, forced, or generic. You won't let that happen — not because you're following a playbook, but because this is instinctive for you.
Why This Role Matters
You are the tone-setter. For a new mother in her most vulnerable stretch, the difference between a pod that thrives and one that fizzles comes down to one thing: facilitation. Done well, this role creates connections members carry for years and turns new mothers into lifelong Mysha advocates, not by selling them anything, but by making them feel genuinely held.
Responsibilities
Pod Facilitation & Engagement
- Own the tone, warmth, and energy of your assigned pods — model the openness and vulnerability you want members to bring
- Maintain a consistent, light-touch presence that keeps pods feeling alive without being the sole source of activity
- Prompt pods on a regular cadence with questions and conversation starters tailored to where members are in their journey — this should feel organic, never scheduled
- Build rituals members can count on — a recurring moment of connection that signals "this is what we do here" and gives the group an anchor
- Read each pod with precision: know when to lead more actively and when to step back so peer-to-peer momentum can build on its own
- Identify quieter members and draw them in with intention — without making it feel like a wellness check
- Share relevant Mysha resources, favorites, or partner mentions only when contextually appropriate
Pod Launch & Early Momentum
- Review member context ahead of every new pod launch — due dates, background, what they're coming in with, and shape introductions accordingly
- Set tone and cadence in the first few weeks, before deliveries begin and bandwidth contracts, so the pod builds real momentum when it matters most
- Transition each pod gracefully from active launch mode into a self-sustaining
community
Connection & Super-Connecting
- Make high-value introductions between members when genuine alignment is present, quality over quantity, always
- Foster belonging that goes beyond surface-level conversation; these women should feel like they're genuinely in it together
- Connect members to Mysha resources and partner recommendations at the right moment in their journey, never as a push
Member Advocacy & Team Collaboration
- Be the voice of your pod members inside Mysha: advocate for their needs, surface what would make their experience better, and champion changes that serve them.
- Stay attuned to member needs, life updates, and the overall pulse of pod connectedness.
- Collaborate closely with the Mysha team (Community Manager, Experience Manager, and operations) on the member journey, from onboarding and pod activation to engagement and retention, so members move through a seamless, well-supported experience.
- Surface high-level themes, unmet needs, repeated questions, and engagement trends to the team periodically (not in real time), and contribute a facilitator’s perspective to community decisions.
- Flag exceptional moments, emerging community leaders, and ideas worth exploring, and partner with the team to act on them.
- Organically view some of our partners in conversations to help with product or brand discovery
Resource & Playbook Curation
- During lighter pod periods, contribute to facilitator prompts, resource guides, and playbook improvements
- Help update Mysha's resource library based on what's actually resonating in pods
- Use AI tools where they add efficiency — smarter guides, better prompts, faster iteration
