Description

About Mysha

Mysha is now a premium, referral-based membership community serving 1,000+ members across NYC, NJ, CT, LA, Miami, and Austin. Our members are C-suite executives, founders, and the women who shape culture and purchasing decisions in their industries. They're ambitious, cosmopolitan, and deeply connected, women who have built full lives and identities outside of their children, and who expect the communities they join to reflect that.

At Mysha, we believe that motherhood is an expansion and life upgrade. We provide a curated space for ambitious, like-valued women to find connection, save time with vetted resources, and experience the meaning of genuine community. Our mission is to soften the transition to motherhood by fostering meaningful connections and authentic friendships.

We serve ambitious mothers in their 30s-40s who value authenticity and meaningful connection over transactional networking.

Mysha has grown almost entirely by word of mouth. That's not an accident.

Role Overview

NYC is Mysha's largest and most established hub — 400+ members, our highest concentration of C-suite executives and founders, and the community that sets the standard for every city we operate in.

We're looking for someone to own it.

This is a contract role for a natural connector, someone who is already the person other people gravitate to, who makes introductions without thinking about it, and who knows intuitively how to make a large community feel intimate. Your job is to ensure that every NYC member feels known, plugged in, and genuinely connected to the women around her, not through programming alone, but through the kind of thoughtful, personal attention that can't be templated.

The core of this role is depth over reach. NYC's membership is established and growing. Members need more intention - Smaller gatherings, smarter introductions, and someone who pays close enough attention to know which two women in a room of 400 need to meet each other.

The role is for you if you already do this in your sleep

You're the person everyone knows. You host the dinners, you make the introductions, you remember what someone mentioned three months ago and follow up on it. You're equally comfortable facilitating a room of twenty and sending a voice note to one person who's gone quiet. You don't need a playbook for this — you need a community worth showing up for.

Mysha is that community.

Why This Role Matters

You will be the living, breathing embodiment of Mysha in New York City, the human heartbeat of our largest and most established chapter.

You are the primary touchpoint for our NYC members, our biggest hub at 400+ women the person who makes Mysha feel warm, premium, intimate, and deeply personal even at scale. Through thoughtful events, meaningful introductions, and everyday community magic, you ensure that every member feels known, stays connected, and continues to find real value in Mysha, turning a large community into a close one.

This is a highly member-facing role that, for the right person, feels less like a job and more like a natural extension of who you already are.

Because NYC is our largest and most active hub, your focus is depth over reach. Your primary work is nurturing the members who are already here: making sure they feel seen, plugged into the right pods and gatherings, and genuinely connected to one another. You love deepening existing relationships just as much as welcoming the new women who continue to join. You’re often described as a connector, you radiate warm vibes, and are beloved by many.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

● You will take ownership of the NYC member experience, ensuring our boutique, premium positioning is reflected in every touchpoint
● You will directly impact our NYC retention and member satisfaction by ensuring every member feels known, stays engaged, and is plugged into the people, pods, and gatherings most relevant to her
● You will embody Mysha’s “always be connecting” philosophy, creating meaningful relationships within our community and providing value to
members through thoughtful connections

Duties and Responsibilities:

Local Event Host / Facilitator (Monthly)

You are the face of Mysha at our NYC gatherings

• Host and facilitate monthly NYC gatherings, from larger community events to intimate small-group dinners and coffee walks focused on deepening existing member relationships
(note NYC already runs a full monthly events calendar)
• Welcome attendees, guide conversations, and ensure no one is left on the periphery
• Use member conversations and pulse checks to inform who belongs in the same room — gatherings should feel curated, not open-call
• Execute event logistics on the ground: run of show, gifting, partner coordination, vibe-setting
• Read the room and make intentional, high-value introductions in real time
• Seamlessly integrate newer and longtime members so everyone feels woven in and the magic of Mysha is felt, not sold
• Seamlessly weave newer and longtime members together so the community feels continuous, not tiered
• Follow up warmly post-event to deepen new connections and maintain momentum
• Track participation trends, personally invite members to relevant events, and reach out to those who haven’t attended recently

Member Calls & Intelligence

•  Hold regular member calls, not as check-ins, but as listening sessions that inform how you bring the community together
• Use what you learn to identify connection opportunities, flag disengagement early, and build the kind of small-group gatherings that feel impossibly well-matched
•  The goal of every call is a specific next action: an introduction, an invitation, a gathering that didn't exist before the conversation

Community Building & Ambassadorship

• Maintain a personal pulse on NYC members — who's engaged, who's drifting, who needs a nudge back in
• Reach out proactively and personally to members who've gone quiet — not with a newsletter, with a message that sounds like you
• Authentically represent Mysha within the NYC mom ecosystem and deepen our presence in the communities our members already belong to
• Host or support “Mysha taster” moments: coffees and small gatherings that bring members together
• Recognize that healthy NYC growth comes through member referrals and advocacy — your job is to make the community so good that members can't stop talking about it
• If you’re excellent at this, you’ll naturally build and maintain relationships with doulas, midwives, maternal health professionals, birthing centers, and aligned brands that add value to existing members

Virtual Pod Facilitation & Virtual Community Building

You help our virtual spaces feel human, intimate, and alive.

• Facilitate NYC pods within WhatsApp with your own voice — not from a script
         ◦ Share local resources, happenings, and stoke engagement via questions, value-add shares, and inspiration
• Make a community of 400 feel small: pay close attention to who's active, who's lurking, and who needs to be drawn in
• Engage regularly in our topic-based chats within WhatsApp regularly where you can add value to members, and participate from an authentic place based on your own interests and needs
• Foster belonging that goes beyond surface-level chat — members should feel genuinely connected, not just subscribed
• Share local resources, stoke engagement with well-timed prompts, and make introductions that translate from virtual to real life
• Act as a bridge between NYC pods and the broader Mysha team

Requirements

You’re a Natural Fit If You’re:

• Are the person other people gravitate to — not because you work at it, but because it's who you are
• Make introductions instinctively and take genuine pleasure in watching them land
• Know how to make a large community feel intimate — you understand that scale is a logistics problem, not a connection problem
• Are equally comfortable holding a room of thirty and sending a personal message to one member who's gone quiet
• Have a warm, natural written voice — your messages sound like you, not like a bcommunity manager following a template)
• Take ownership without needing direction — you know what good looks like and you go get it
• Are energized by supporting accomplished, high-achieving women through one of the most significant transitions of their lives

Skills, Abilities, and Experiences

• Deep roots in NYC — an existing network among mothers, wellness professionals, or aligned communities that you can activate from day one
• Experience facilitating or nurturing communities of sophisticated, busy women, you understand the specific dynamic of holding a room of high-achievers
• Group facilitation experience, both in person and virtually — you're as effective on WhatsApp as you are at a dinner table
• Existing NYC networks among moms, wellness professionals, or aligned communities
• Some event execution experience with strong attention to detail
• Clear, warm, professional communication — members should feel the personal attention in every interaction

Bonus For
• Experience in sales, partnerships, or business development — you understand how to open doors and build relationships with intention
• Existing relationships with NYC maternal health professionals, doulas, midwives, or birthing centers
• A background in hospitality, events, or high-touch member services — you know what a premium experience feels like and you hold yourself to that standard

You’ll Thrive Here If You:

• Love being the super-connector
• Care deeply about supporting women through major life transitions
• Approach every interaction with a raving-fan mindset
• Take ownership without needing micromanagement
• Want meaningful work that expands your personal and professional network
• Enjoy being part of a small, passionate, fast-moving team

What Success Looks Like

• NYC members who feel known, connected, and genuinely glad they're part of Mysha — not just subscribed to it
• High member engagement: a healthy share of NYC members attending at least one gathering or touchpoint each quarter
• Re-engaging quiet or at-risk members through proactive, personal outreach
• Small-group gatherings that feel impossibly well-matched — because they are, because you paid attention
• Quiet or drifting members re-engaged through personal, timely outreach — before they churn, not after
• Event resonance: strong and repeat attendance from members at NYC gatherings
• Virtual pods that feel human and alive, with peer-to-peer engagement that doesn't depend on you to exist
• New members joining organically through referrals from a community that can't stop talking about itself
