Client Partner (Community Strategy)
Job Logistics Summary
- Position: Client Partner (Community Strategy)
- Job Type: Part-time
- Location: Fully remote
- Compensation: $35-60/hour depending on experience
Description
We’re looking for someone to own client delivery, balancing client relationships, community growth initiatives, and higher-level strategic thinking.
This role is client-facing and collaborative. You’ll be inside client communities, helping them run smoothly, grow intentionally, and help members feel well taken care of. Each community is unique, so we’re looking for someone who has varied experience to pull from and adapt.
This role is ideal for someone with experience leading communities or programs. You’ll work closely with me (the founder) on strategy and direction, while independently leading day-to-day client work and decisions.
Responsibilities
Client Partnership & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary owner of client relationships, including day-to-day communication and coordination.
- Lead ongoing client work by setting priorities, managing scope, and ensuring momentum week to week.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with community founders and their teams.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, values, and goals, and ensure community strategy aligns.
Community Delivery & Engagement
- Own the health and engagement of client communities.
- Plan, draft and publish community posts, announcements, event announcements, and update emails.
- Co-host live calls and events (Zoom), creating a welcoming environment for participants.
- Maintain clear documentation and processes inside each community.
- Identify friction points, risks and opportunities, and propose improvements or experiments.
- Brainstorm fun, values-aligned ideas unique to each client community.
Strategy + Execution
- Own the execution of community strategy projects.
- Lead audits, research, and synthesis related to each community and business.
- Think strategically about engagement, retention, onboarding, and program design.
- Translate strategy into clear, actionable steps for clients.
Requirements
- Experience running or contributing meaningfully to a community-driven business (as a creator, educator, coach, founder, or community lead).
- Comfort working directly with clients and making decisions without full information.
- Familiarity with Circle, Kit, Zapier, and Notion and/or other similar tools.
- Skilled at both micro and macro thinking. You know how to make sure the big picture is always moving forward by way of all the tiny details that need to get done.
- You are a clear thinker and writer (without AI).
- You are scrappy and willing to do the work (we’re a tiny team and don’t always have someone to delegate to!).
- Your own personal growth is important to you.
