The Business Development Specialist is a high-impact role focused on driving revenue growth across Strong Brand Social’s licensing, consulting, and program offerings. This role blends relationship-driven sales execution with proactive outreach and partner development to expand SBS’s client base and deepen its influence in the industry.

You’ll work closely with the CMO and CEO to implement and execute go-to-market strategies, with a particular focus on closing high-ticket licensing deals with agencies, companies, and educational institutions. This is not just a sales support role—you’ll own your pipeline, engage prospective partners with confidence, and represent the brand externally as a trusted, values-aligned professional.

Responsibilities

Own the Sales Pipeline:

  • ‍Work closely with the CEO and Contract CMO to implement sales strategies
  • Lead sales conversations for licensing, consulting, and program offerings, with an emphasis on high-ticket and group licensing deals
  • Execute outbound outreach campaigns to engage prospective partners (agencies, companies, schools, etc.)
  • Customize presentations and proposals to demonstrate alignment with prospect goals
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close and contract execution
  • Maintain accurate tracking of all pipeline activity and deal stages in the CRM
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on sales performance and pipeline insights

Collaborate on Sales Materials:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment between sales campaigns and marketing messaging
  • Request and co-create necessary sales assets (e.g. pitch decks, 1-pagers, outreach emails)Collect, develop, and deploy proof assets—such as testimonials, client spotlights, and use-case examples—for sales efforts
  • Report feedback from prospects to inform content and campaign strategy

Support Client Success Post-Sale:

  • Serve as an internal point of contact for group licensing clients after contract close
  • Coordinate onboarding steps and ensure a smooth handoff to the Programs team
  • Monitor initial experience and surface insights or needs to the team
  • Maintain communication during early stages of implementation to ensure client success and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with Programs to address any delivery-related questions or needs

Team Engagement & Communication:

  • Actively participate in team meetings and company culture initiativesMaintain responsive internal communication via Slack and email
  • Protect and support the company values
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Keep role-related SOPs current and well-documented
  • Meet established deadlines and communicate proactively about timeline changes

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who brings both skill and fire to this work—someone who’s energized by real connection, committed to excellence, and comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Required:

  • At least 5–8 years of experience in sales, business development, or strategic partnerships (preferably in marketing, SaaS, licensing, or educational services)Track record of closing complex or high-value deals, especially in B2B, licensing, or consultative environments
  • Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent follow-up
  • Strong consultative selling skills—you’re not pushy, but you close
  • High EQ and excellent communication—you build trust quickly and represent the brand with warmth and clarity
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and documentation best practices
  • Experience supporting or collaborating with marketing teams to develop collateral, proof, and positioning assets
  • Comfort working independently in a remote, collaborative team environment

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with licensing or structured intellectual property sales
  • Experience managing early-stage client onboarding and relationship-building
  • Background in remote-first or small business environments with cross-functional collaboration
