Description

The Program Coordinator works with the Executive to accomplish the mission and vision of RebuildingTogether Charleston This includes application intake, initial processing and follow-up, coordinating & trackingassignments, supporting work teams, and information/data collection and input. The position requires working with a variety of populations including homeowners, volunteers, and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the main point of contact for neighbors before, during, and after repairs are completed on their homes.
  • Receives and reviews applications, communicates application status to ensure that applicants meet deadlines, and arranges initial site visits.
  • Coordinates the process, with the Executive Director, to determine scope of work and type of work team required (contractors and/or volunteers).
  • Facilitates and supports each work team’s planning and execution of their project along with the Executive Director.
  • Contributes neighbor-focused content (pictures and quotes) for use in social media and newsletters to stakeholders.
  • Accurately tracks contact information, project expenses, applications, and repair status to support internal communication and planning in Salesforce and Google Shared Drive.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Abilities

  • Possess good organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to work on multiple tasks with flexibility/adaptability.
  • Willingness and availability to work on weekends, as required.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy including proficiency with Google Suite and willingness to learn and become proficient in Salesforce.
  • Effective interpersonal skills including sensitivity and appropriate judgment.
  • Can work with many types of people from various ethnic, racial, socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Construction knowledge and experience is a plus.

Other Requirements

  • Access to reliable transportation for work-related travel.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record.Must be able to navigate an active construction site, including: climbing stairs & ladders, standing, lifting and carrying building materials.
  • Support the organization at public and private events, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to assist in achieving organization mission, vision, and goals.
  • Must submit to a background check.
